The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is disseminating a survey that looks at how the COVID-19 pandemic is disrupting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), how these SMEs are adapting to the current circumstances, and how this may or may not be connected to broader weather-related stressors they may face. The focus is to inform Federal agencies as they continue to provide information and assistance.

Pasadena saw its biggest week yet in terms of new reported COVID-19 infections as the city announced 35 newly confirmed infections on Friday. That brought the week’s total to 214 cases over seven days since July 18, surpassing the previous record — which occurred just last week — when 183 new infections were reported. No new COVID-19-related deaths were reported Friday, according to city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

It may not be a surprise, but scammers are posing as contact tracers to get your personal identifying information during the COVID-19 health crisis. They're looking for social security numbers or financial information, such as your bank account number.

The Pasadena Police Department provides a monthly briefing to the community on critical incidents in the area.
